Welcome to our web-site!Come and visit in Romania ,Transylvania a mini zoo,18 km far from M-Ciuc,in Bancu.
Pal Somogyi ,born in Hungary,lives in Romania for 13 yearsas entrepreneur.He could but he didn`t move to the Occident like others.He choosed this little part of Transylvania ,he helps the local school and nursery school year to year,with the Church he gives gifts at Christmas for hundreds of children.
Unfortunately just a few children have the possibility to visit a real zoo,because of the long distance or the financial situation of their family.
Pal Somogyi is 50 years old now,and as he told,he was 16, when he saw a zoo for the first time and he permited it from his own salary,earned in the afternoons after courses.At the beginning he collected the animals just as hobby then the number of animals grown,he founded a nini zoo.Besides usual domestic and wild animals you can see pigeons, ponies, peacocks, snakes, ostriches, bears, monkies, lions, too.
Because many animals were delivered hurt,the zoo is an asylum for them,too.
The visitors can see more than 100 races of animals. The little zoo has approximately 700 residents as following: 6 cows, 1 goat of Cameron, 10 goats with kids, 10 sheep with lambs, 9 horses with foals, 2 ponies, 2 donkies, 32 geese(4 of them are pedigree), 72 ducks(3 pedigree), 220 hen(10 pedigree), 30 rabbits(6 pedigree), 18 turkies (2 pedigree),160 pigeons (18 pedigree), 3 tortoises, 4 guinea-pigs, 4 turtle-doves, 9 quails, 1 owl, 5 eagles, 2 snakes, 1 lion, 1 wolf, 1 fox, 3 bears, 11 pheasants, 2 peacocks, 21 little pigs, 11 pigs, 3 ostriches, 25 guinea fowls, 2 monkies, 2 deers and many other and further races.
   
Our target is to provide best conditions and surroundings for the animals, so our primary duty is to obtain better conditions for their winterlife.For thisone we search financial donations.Until now we accomplished,allthese at our`s own cost, in future we accept every little donation.
